What we collect

When you book with WA Car Hire we collect the details required to complete the rental: name, contact details, date of birth, address, driving-licence details, and payment information. We also collect vehicle telematics (location, speed, fault codes) during active rentals for safety and fleet management.

How we use it

Booking data is used to complete your rental, comply with Australian consumer and road-safety laws, prevent fraud, and — with your consent — send occasional travel tips. We do not sell personal data.

Who we share with

Licensed partners: Stripe (payments), our insurance underwriter, and — when legally required — law-enforcement agencies. Telematics data may be shared with roadside-assistance providers during incidents.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete it once active rentals have concluded. Email privacy@wacarhire.com to exercise these rights.

Retention

We keep booking records for seven years to meet Australian taxation and regulatory requirements, then securely delete them.
